Soft Squares' 2027 Spring Retreat Deposit - March 30 - April 3, 2027

Come join us for this wonderful retreat! 

- March 30th thru April 3rd, 2027

- In beautiful Orem, Utah
- 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City (SLC) airport or the 8 minutes from the Provo (PVU) airport. 
- Soft Squares provides shuttle service from/to airport, there is no need to rent a car.
- Mr. FixIt LOVES to play travel agent, so if you need help with travel plans, reach out!

What is included

- All 5 days are full sewing days

- Goodie Tote Bag - you will get a t-shirt, projects, notions & fabric! (We will need your shirt size.)

- Daily Quilting Goodies

- Individual workstations with power bars

- Individual chairs - you may want to bring an extra cushion

- Design walls

- Large cut stations

- Wool pressing stations with irons

- Food, Fun and Friendship!

- Opportunity to visit and shop at the Soft Squares' Shop, with a retreat discount!

- Depending on the time of year and specific dates, additional "field trip" activities happen throughout the week.  We may visit a chocolate factory, ride on a historic train, visit a quilting charity, go to a show . . . you never know what Lynne will come up with.  Some activities will be free, some might have an additional cost.  Regardless, you are welcome to stay and sew during any off-site activity.

- We will email a list of suggested items to bring with you a few weeks before the retreat.

Food and Stores
- Breakfast is provided by the hotel

- Dinner is provided 

- For lunch, there are restaurants nearby (and probably some leftovers too). 
- We will be at a Hampton Inn.  Each room will have a small refrigerator and we will have access to a suite with a full kitchen as needed.

- There is an IHOP across the parking lot and fast food within walking distance.

 - There is a mall with plenty of restaruants 5 minutes away.  And, plenty more restaurants between the Hampton Inn and the mall.

- We will be glad to shuttle you to other places (drug store, etc.) as needed.

Cost and Accomodations
- Space is Limited.
- $150 deposit to reserve your spot. Non-Refundable.

- $180 balance due by March 10, 2027.  Mr. FixIt will set up a payment listing on the website.  If you need differernt arrangements let Mr. FixIt know. 

- You are responsible for your own hotel reservation at the Hampton Inn.

- If you want your own room at the Hampton Inn, make your reservation directly with the hotel.  Regular rooms are $134 plus tax - Suites are $174 plus tax. Call 801-426-8500 and ask for local reservations when you call.  Tell them you are with Soft Squares' Quilt Retreat to get the discounted rate.

- If you want to share a room, let Lynne know and we will pair you up with someone and make arrangements for the payments. Click Here to email Lynne. 

- If you choose another hotel we will do our best to help shuttle you but we cannot guarantee rides at any specific time.

- Refunds to your form of payment are given up until 30 days prior to the retreat.  With less than 30 days notice, refunds are given in the form of a gift certificate for SoftSquares.com.  Also, spaces are transferrable – let us know what you are thinking.

The Area

- Contact us about other things to do if you are thinking to spend an extra day or two in our neck of the woods.

- If spouse is coming, there are plenty of things to do (fishing, hiking, sporting events, museums, etc.) and places to hang out. Mr FixIt can assist with ideas.

PLEASE NOTE:
* please let us know if you use a c-pap; we will provide distilled water for you.
* please tell us if you have any allergies, food or otherwise, that we need to be aware of.

* Orem is at about 4800 feet of elevation.  It is not anywhere near sea-level.  You might get a little more tired than you do back home, make sure to rest and drink plenty of water.

Info about the town:
Orem, Utah is exactly where Soft Squares is based.  We are 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City proper and about an hour from Park City.  There are plenty of things to do and a lot of things going on nearby.
