Soft Squares 2026 Summer Retreat Deposit - August 4-8

Come join us for this wonderful retreat! 

- August 4th thru 8th, 2026
- In beautiful Orem, Utah
- 45 minutes from the Salt Lake City (SLC) airport or the 8 minutes from the Provo (PVU) airport. 
- Soft Squares provides shuttle service to/from airport, there is no need to rent a car.
- Mr. FixIt LOVES to play travel agent, so if you need help with travel plans, reach out!

- Goodie Tote Bag is included - you will get a t-shirt, projects, notions & fabric! (We will need your shirt size.)
- Opportunity to visit and shop at the Soft Squares' Shop, with a retreat discount!
- Lots of contests with prizes!
- Food, Fun and Friendship!

- Breakfast & Dinner provided.  For lunch, there are restaurants nearby (and probably some leftovers too). 
- We will be at a Hampton Inn.  Each room will have a small refrigerator and we will have access to a suite with a full kitchen.
- There is an IHOP across the parking lot and fast food within walking distance.

 - There is a mall with dozens of restaruants 5 minutes away.  And, dozens more restaurants between the Hampton Inn and the mall.

 - We will be glad to shuttle you to other places as needed.

- Space is Limited.
- $150 deposit to reserve your spot. Non-Refundable.
- $700 balance due by June 15th. (contact us if you need payment arrangements) 

- Refunds are as follows:

• More than 60 days before the retreat = Full refund (minus the deposit)
• 30-59 days before the retreat = ½ refund (minus the deposit)
• Less than 30 days before the retreat = Not refundable (we’ve already paid suppliers)

- Spaces are transferrable – let us know what you are thinking.
- A limited number of sewing machines are available to rent at just $75 for the retreat - you must reserve.

- Contact us about other things to do if you are thinking to spend an extra day or two in our neck of the woods.

- Individual workstations with power bars

- Design walls, large cut stations and wool pressing stations with irons.
 
- Rooms are multiple occupancy, with everyone getting their own queen size bed!  There are a limited number of private rooms available.  Reach out to Lynne if you are interneed. Click Here to email Lynne. 

- If the hubby is coming, there are plenty of things to do (fishing, hiking, sporting events, etc.) and places to hang out. Mr FixIt can assist with ideas.  Oh, and make sure to contact Lynne about a private room.

PLEASE NOTE:
* 2 to a room (there are a couple of 3-to-a-room options)
* please specify if you have a room buddy you prefer  
* please let us know if you use a c-pap; we will provide distilled water for you
* please tell us if you have any allergies, food or otherwise, that we need to be aware of.

* Orem is at about 4800 feet of elevation.  It is not anywhere near sea-level.  You might get a little more tired than you do back home, make sure to rest and drink plenty of water.

Info about the town:
Orem, Utah is exactly where Soft Squares is based.  We are 45 minutes south of Salt Lake City proper and about an hour from Park City.  There are plenty of things to do and a lot of things going on nearby.
